Our partnership with parents is key to our work and the Parent’s Group is one of the several forums in which you are invited to come along to share in talking about the running and direction of the centre.
Once a month parents and staff get together to talk about ideas, feedback from other parents, successes and concerns. These meetings are very relaxed and informal and everyone is welcome.
Any parent can volunteer to put himself or herself forward as a Parent Representative. Our Partnership Board is made up of parents and staff and the role of the parent members is to act as a link between the community and the centre.
The Board meets once every six weeks and parent representatives are expected to come to these meetings. It’s not scary; you’ll learn new skills and could even have fun!
Representatives are also asked to come along to at least one activity every month, to let other parents and carers know what is going on and find to out their views on current issues.
We do provide training and ongoing support.
If you are interested in becoming a representative why not come along to a Board meeting to find out what it’s all about?
Just give us a call for more information.
